Personal data protection

The processing of customers’ personal data by Damedis s.r.o., with its registered office at Křenová 19, 602 00 Brno, Company ID No.: 26931664, maintained by the Regional Court in Brno under file number C 46416, the operator of the damedis.cz online store, is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Regulation’) and by applicable legislation governing the protection of personal data. We carry out processing only to the extent necessary, corresponding to the nature of the services provided and the purpose of the specific processing.

The security of your data is our priority and we protect the personal data entrusted to us against misuse. According to the new EU Regulation (the GDPR), we have modified the conditions for the processing of these data to fully meet the demanding security criteria. We adhere to the strict rules that determine which employee or department has access to your personal data and which personal data may be processed by them. We do not transfer your personal data to third parties, except in cases when we have your consent or we are authorised or obliged to do so by law, such as in the case of carriers or collection points or in the case of law enforcement authorities.

Basic data

Identifying data

The basic data include your first name and surname, as well as, in particular, the invoicing and delivery address, company ID and VATIN (if you are in business). Identifying data are an essential part of any agreement concluded with us. We are required by law, such as the Accounting Act or the Civil Code, to collect and use these identifying data.

Contact data

If you provide us with your contact data, such as telephone or email, we can provide you with extended individual services according to your preferences. We could not even provide you with some of our services without knowing your contact data. Among other things, we enable convenient electronic communication, bonus program or phone orders and therefore we manage your access data – especially logins and passwords, which are used to securely authenticate your person.

Data on products and services

We also process your data during the use of our services. In order to perform your order, we need to know the details of the products you selected, the quantity ordered, the preferred method of delivery and payment of the order. When paying for your order, we need to know the necessary payment details, such as the amount paid, payer identification through your account number or payment symbols.

Some tracked data make your purchase easier and faster, such as preferred brands and products. We also process information about the devices from which you access our services electronically. This helps us to optimize our platforms and their further development, as well as to increase security. These data include the IP address, as well as information on the browser and device hardware. Cookies are stored on your device in this respect.

Data from our communication and interaction

We can improve our services and offer you products that meet your requirements thanks to your opinions and expressions of your preferences. These data also include data from the use of our website, as well as information about our mutual contact via phone, email, online chat, including the handling of complaints and service requirements.

Transfer of personal data to third parties

We keep your personal data within our company. We only transfer data to third parties if you allow us to do so or if it is enshrined in law. Due to the nature of our business, your data are processed by cooperating delivery partners for ordered goods and suppliers of related services.

Carriers of ordered goods

As part of the order, you are free to choose the method of delivery of the goods and for this purpose we provide your contact details to the selected carrier or representative of the collection point and these entities become personal data processors for us.

What rights do you have?

We process your data in a transparent, correct and lawful manner. Under the conditions set out in the Regulation, you have the right to request access to your personal data, the right to rectification or erasure of your personal data or the restriction of their processing, the right to object to the processing of your personal data and the right to the portability of your personal data.

If you believe that the processing of your personal data has violated or is in violation of the Regulation, you have the right, among other things, to ask for clarification, to request that we remove the situation, in particular you may request that the personal data be rectified, supplemented or erased, or you may file a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the Office for Personal Data Protection.

You are under no obligation to provide your personal data. Providing your personal data is a necessary requirement for the conclusion and performance of the purchase agreement and without providing your personal data it is not possible for the data controller to conclude such agreement or perform it.
